It was a frosty morning, as the sun broke the horizon. As it rose higher, it gently began to warm the pale skin of one Desdemona Lestrange. Who was currently sitting on the due soaked grass, for she had woken up early, and taken a light walk alone, around the grand settings of Hogwarts. But now she sat there staring out over the lake, watching the sunrise, while gently moving her hands back and forth over the due socked grass.
Sitting there like that made her forget the world, she could escape all her worries, and just chill, without a care in the world. However this peace always ended quite abruptly around eight o’clock. As the other students of the school, made there way sleepily from their comfy warm beds, to the welcoming Great hall, to enjoy a well prepared breakfast. So with a quick look at her watch, she was disappointed to find that she had only two minutes left, until the rumble of the school reached her ears. So determined not to waste this time, Desdemona rose gracefully to her feet, and began to stroll round the lake. As she strolled she skimmed random pebbles, not well, but she skimmed them anyway.
As she reached one of the many corners of the lake, the distant rumble of moving students, began to reach her ears. So with one last flick of her wrist, she threw her last pebble into the lake, and watched it slowing disappear beneath the surface into the depths of the black lake .

Alicia grumbled a bit and sat up in her bed. Trying not to moan she looked over at the wristwatch on the nightstand next to her. It was only 6, Alicia sighed and crawled back under the covers and tried to sleep again. She was very unsucessful, though. Alicia found that no matter how many different positions she tried she just couldn't go back to sleep. Moaning, Alicia sleepily stood up and managed to stumble into her clothes and out the common room door. Then she sleepily walked through the halls of the school. Finally she made it outside into the open. Almost immediately she was woken up by the bitter coldness of the outside air. However she immediately continued walking along the beaten path. When she walked by the Black Lake she saw her twin sister, Desdemona. Alicia walked over to her where her sister was sitting and took a seat next to her. "Hey Des." Alicia said. "What are you doing up so early?"

Scared and hurt. Those were the two words to describe Evelyn at this time. She was sitting in her bed, her arms around her knees and her head placed on her knees, her body shaking with sobs. She was silent of course, considering she was a Zabini and taught not to show her emotions. She scowled, her tears still cascading down her fair skinned cheeks. She hated being a Zabini, abso-bloody-lutely hated it. Her family hated her, point blank. And of course, she hated them back. What with her Dad's beatings, her Mum's screechings at her, and her siblings teasing her, she didn't exactly have the perfect life everyone expected her to have since she was of Zabini parentage.
Ha. Perfect life. There was no such thing. She continued to cry, trying not to touch her body all too much considering it was no covered with bruises. You see, her Dad had decided she deserved a beating since she was stupid enough not to hold her tongue. He had beaten her for a good couple of hours and her whole body throbbed, marks from his belt to show the proof that yes, she was an outcast in her family and that yes, her family hated her.
She heard her stomach growl and she looked over at the Muggle clock on her desk, a clock her parents despised for they hated anything having to do with Muggles, and saw the numbers flash 6am. She sighed deeply, running her fingers through her hair and trying to get her tears to stop. Only 6 hours before classes started. Maybe I should skip today?, she thought to herself.
No, a voice told her, you know what'll happen if you decide not to go to class. A nice little present from your oh so wonderful father. She heard her stomach growl yet again. "Persistent, are you?" She asked herself and a smirk crossed her features. Great, first she had gotten a beating for speaking her mind, and now she was talking to her stomach. You're losing it, Evelyn, she told herself.
Slowly swinging her legs to the other side of the bed, her feet touched the cold, stone floor. She quickly reached for her black flannel overcoat to cover her short emerald green nightgown, which matched her eyes perfectly. Although, she thought to herself as she looked down at her body, which was basically almost all black and blue, it doesn't cover my bruises. She sighed, listening to the voice which told her that at least she wouldn't be meeting anyone.
She crossed the room, trying her hardest not to wake her roommates. Her trademark Zabini smirk occupied her beautiful features as she stared at the sleeping girls. She was contemplating whether she should wake them up. They were all total b!tches and why not wake them up? It would surely annoy them. She sighed then, deciding not to. What would father say? She exited the dorm, closing the door behind her with the smallest of sqeaks! before heading down to the common room. It was there that she found nobody and sighed in relief. She didn't want anyone to see her like this, looking all weak and fragile.
Exiting the common room, she let her feet lead her to the Kitchen. She was glad she hadn't run into anyone. She sighed in relief. She grabbed a bite to eat, not caring about the bombarding House elves and then made her way out of the castle. The air hit her full force as she walked through the giant oak doors. She heard voices and looked over to see the two Lestrange sisters. She sighed and rolled her eyes, trying to walk by them without being noticed but of course with her luck, something bad just had to happen. She tripped and fell face forward onto the dew filled grass, her long fiery red hair whipping out behind her.
