Personal History (1 paragraph+):
Birth to Three Years- Chisisi is, in the correct tense of the word, a bastard. His mother was only sixteen when she became pregnant with him. She kept him a secret from everyone, even the father, hence the name. After six months, and she was beginning to show she left to Cairo, there she had her baby, but soon after she had to leave again in order to keep him a secret.
So after three months in Cairo Chisisi was moved to Alexandria. There his mother raised him, he was a handful for a seventeen-year-old, and his mother just barely scraped by. By the time he was one she was working three jobs, trying to keep him with her at all times, yet she was only three weeks past he seventeenth birthday.
At two things were more stable, and he was always having play dates with the children on the block. He was a very social baby, and that helped his mother out dearly. She didn’t always have to watch him when he was over at someone’s’ house.
So when he was three he started school. There he had even more friends, and was, undeniably a teachers pet. Being the sweat little boy he is, he just ended up that way, even though he wishes he wasn’t. So he spent the first three years of his life as a normal cute gurgling baby, that went to the park and had friends.
Four Years to Five Years- At four years Chisisi began his love of talking. He would come home from school and tell, in the most detail, his mother about everything that happened to him at school. Often he ended up in trouble for his talking, and the teacher greatly missed her teacher’s pet that was quite during class.
Summers were harder for his mother. Most of the time he would be at a friends’ house during the day, and come home at night. The eighteen-year-old girl was saving so that she could move them to England, but the process was a very slow one.
When Chisisi started kindergarten she was almost half way there. Already she had enough for him, but not enough for Chisisi. Though Chisisi remained unaware of his mothers plans, he knew that there was something that she wasn’t telling him. So, the nosy little boy searched, but it was all useless. He couldn’t figure out what his mother was planning.
That summer was one of Chisisi’s favorites. He got to play with his friends more then ever, and on a dare he actually kissed a girl! Of course it lasted only five seconds, and there was no tong, and if their parents ever found out what they had done, then they would be in so much trouble, but he still kissed her. After that, he spent all his time with her.
Six Years to Seven Years- To Chisisi the only bad part was being away from the girl he had kissed during the summer. They had become really good friends, and he missed her. But he still had fun at school, and once again talked up a storm.
That summer his mother had saved enough, that by school’s start they could take the trip to England. She could now afford to get there, but they needed money once they got there. When Chisisi found out he threw the biggest tantrum, that he had ever thrown. For two days he was restricted to his room, because of it. Once he was able to be with his friends he stomped around, until he made a plan with his best friend. They had decided that he would stay with him, and not go to England. Their mothers were, needless to say, not pleased with this plan.
Halfway through the school year Chisisi and his mother began their trip to England. Two weeks later they had arrived, and where settling in. Has soon has she could Chisisi’s mother had him back in school. He started out being in the new school a little shaky, but soon he made a friend, and things were easier after that. He missed his friends dearly, but still it wasn’t too bad at this new school.
Chisisi enjoyed summer more then ever. Everything here was so different and new to him, it was like taking a step out of time. So soon he ended up forgetting quite a few of his old friends. Sure they had been close, but his tiny memory, just forgot. Distantly they were in his mind, but that was distantly.
Eight Years to Nine Years- When Chisisi was eight he had his very first “girlfriend” and when his mother found out, she found it quite funny. She also was slightly sad, because this meant that he baby boy was growing up. The girl’s name was Mia. They lasted for two weeks, then Chisisi ended it. Sure the girl was nice, but he felt more for a boy named James, then he did for her.
That summer, was another good summer. His mother had managed to get a good job as a photographer, and they went on a trip to London. He found everything there interesting, it was even better then it was in Liverpool. When they returned Chisisi got to spend the night at James house, and was sad when he had to come home. He had adapted quickly to this new place, but he still missed Alexandria.
Nine was good age for Chisisi. All himself allowed him to go and get ice cream, play at the park, and go to James house all by himself. So, he spent a lot of time away from home, mainly at James house. They had become good friends, and Chisisi liked the snacks that his mother gave him after school.
That summer was a hard summer for his mother. Chisisi wanted to know about his father, but his mother wouldn’t tell him anything. Of course it was probably just as hard Chisisi. His mother began to date again, and he did NOT like it! She would dress up all fancy, twirling in front of the mirror, and doing things that Chisisi had never seen her do before.
Halfway through the summer she started bringing a man home, and Chisisi started to like him. The key word was started; he caught him kissing his mother, and was not pleased. Then three days before school would start again his mother announced that they were getting married. Chisisi didn’t speak to her for the next three days.
Ten Years to Eleven Years- The first day of school Chisisi came home, and started to speak to his mother again. He couldn’t help but tell her everything; how he and James were in the same class again; he had a new girlfriend, and he had a nice teacher. So, things progressed nicely, that is until the wedding. Chisisi was the wing bearer at the wedding, but the only part that he liked was he got to stay with James for two entire weeks!
Two months later, a week before school let out his mother announced that she was pregnant. It was hard for him to except the fact that he wasn’t going to be his mother’s only child, but he got over it. Just like he got over not liking his mother’s new husband.
So during the summer he was with James most of the time. They were celebrating the second to last day of summer with a sleepover, when he received his letter. At first he didn’t believe it, but when his mother took him to see if there really was a Leaky Cauldron, they had to believe it.
The next thing he knew, Chisisi was hugging his mother good bye, and stepping onto the platform. He found Hogwarts as exciting as he had when he saw England for the first time. Everything was so new, the friends, the place, the bed, and the classes. Chisisi made friends quickly, and found that he fit in here better then he thought that he would.
When he returned that summer the baby was already born; a cute and cuddly little girl. She was adorable, that Chisisi couldn’t deny. During the summer he reunited with James, and they once again were inseparable. Chisisi only wished that he had a friend that he was so close to at school. Then he would have been convinced that he truly was living the perfect life.
Twelve Years to Thirteen Years- When Chisisi left for his second year at Hogwarts he was more then a little sad. James, the baby, his mother, and even his stepfather would be missed. Of course his friends quickly made him forge about whom he was missing. That year was an entertaining one, filled with exploding snap, wizard chess, and a new girlfriend. Of course like before, the girlfriend was very short term. They lasted three weeks before breaking up.
That summer when he went over to James house, planning on spending the summer with him has usual he was greeted by a rather angry Julie, who was James little sister. She told him to go to the backyard, and upon reaching James, he was greeted by a pair of lips.
James had kissed him! Needless to say he was shocked. Of course he kissed back, but he was still confused. This was so different from what he was used to. When kissing girls he felt nothing. James put a spark into it. This was when he found out the truth; Chisisi was . . . gay. He didn’t tell anyone, he was too afraid to. What if they rejected him because of it?
That year at Hogwarts Chisisi told his friends. To his surprise they weren’t shocked in the slightest. In fact they told him that they had figured. After the uncial shock was gone, Chisisi was happy that they accepted it. They urged him to tell his family, but he couldn’t. So when the year ended he still needed to tell them.
That summer he still didn’t tell his family. It was just to soon, just to soon. He still hadn’t fully adjusted, and he wasn’t ready. So that summer he spent a lot of time with his mother. She still wouldn’t tell him anything about his father, and this made him so angry. He wanted to know what was so secret about it that she couldn’t even tell him his name?
Fourteen Years to Sixteen Years- That school year was the best yet. At school at least he was openly gay, and he had a real boyfriend. This time he went out with him for five months, before they broke it off. Neither of them felt the spark that was once there. So they were still friends when it ended.
This summer was his emotastic summer. At the beginning it was the normal my parents suck, so I’m going to whine about, but then he started to receive letters from his father. In the end he got into a huge fight with his mother. Then when he told her he was gay, she accused him of lying so that he could make her mad. This brought up a whole can of worms, and when he left for school that year; he left alone.

The trunk, when opened, gave off the strong, pleasant smell of cedar wood and what could only be described as age. Clothes were thrown about inside of the trunk, unfolded in a haphazard fashion. Chisisi’s hands flitted through its contents, his focus bent upon finding a particular, well-loved zip hoodie. He remembered tossing onto the top of the trunks contents only yesterday, but somewhere between then and now the jacket had managed to disappear into the abyss that was his trunk.
His hand brushed against something near the bottom of the trunk, shoved deep into a corner and apparently forgotten. Pausing in his frantic search as curiosity got the better of him, Chisisi’s hand closed around the object. In his hand he held a well-worn piece of parchment, fingerprint's staining its outer edges. Eyes narrowing as curiosity grew, Chisisi quickly unfolded the paper.
"...We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry..."
A small smile graced his lips, as he remembered that moment of acceptance, then the memories flashed to the sorting. That was probably the most nervous Chisisi had ever been in his entire life.
Chisisi’s small frame was pushed against those of his pears as they all gathered around the hat that chose which house they would be in. Chisisi was—putting it as nice as possible—unimpressed. That is until the hat began to sing it’s sorting song. The unimpressed emotion was replaced by complete bewilderment.
He watched as one by one his fellow students were called up then placed in a house. As long as he wasn’t in Slytherin he would be happy, that house seemed plain awful, and he knew that life there would be utterly miserable.
Bernine . . .
Jenkins...
Shettle . . .
Sharpe . . .
Thacker . . .
Thabit . . .
It took a minute for Chisisi to realize that he had been called. The young boy had been so observed in his surroundings that he hadn’t paid any attention to the sorting hat.
One step at a time, breath in and out, in and out, his thought repeated. Eventually he made it up to the stool. It seemed foolish to put the hat that he could tell would almost completely cover his head, but he put it on anyway. It was a jolt of surprise when the hat whispered things into his ears.
It seemed like the hat was talking to him for forever, but in reality it was only a few minutes. The hat’s voice called out his house name loudly, and whipping off the hat, Chisisi ran to the table.
Chisisi chuckled at his behavior. Now that he had been here for such a long time and wasn’t innocent—okay, partially innocent—it appeared stupid that he had behaved like that. Well, he thought, it just shows you how much you change over the years.
